Picking your hardwood floor and hardwood floor installation
One of the more important things you need to know when selecting a floor, is how easy will it be for me to install this floor? It's an important
question that you will have to ask. This leads to the next question: are you going to install the hardwood floor yourself, or have someone else do it for you? If you are planning on installing the hardwood floor yourself, we highly recommend that you read a do it yourself guide before installing your floor. You can find these do it yourself guides on many websites around the Internet. If you would like to submit your very own Do It Yourself (DIY) guide to hardwood flooring, please feel free to use our contact us page to submit your installation guide. If you choose to find a contractor/hardwood floor installer, then this might be the better of the two choices. If the contractor is coming out to install the floor, they have to do a good job, or they don't get paid. They are held accountable for any shoddy or poor work to your floor.

Armstrong does not stand by their 25 year warranty - do not buy their hardwood flooring. We purchased and there are places (non-traffic areas) where the finish did not stay and other areas where it has come off. Can anyone out there tell me if they are happy with their tile regarding the chipped edge on the 13 X 13 tile. I am wondering if it will hold more dirt and be harder to keep clean. 12953. Beware APC Cork
While I like my cork flooring, I have found the APC Cork company to be very uncoorperatve and unfriendly to deal with. If I call or have a question about floor care or anything else, for that matter, first it is like pulling teeth to get to talk to anyone besides the receptionist; then, they become very defensive and aggressive, in case they perceive you might have a complaint. . For a company that claims a 25-year guarantee on their floors, they are very unapproachable.
